1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using ROLLNO31 (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for students, staff, and educational institutions operating in India. Users under 18 years of age must obtain parent or guardian consent before registering, as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).

3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access by emailing security@rollno31.com.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the DPDP Act, 2023; (b) infringe any intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; (c) transmit malicious code, spam, or unsolicited communications; (d) attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, institutions, or systems; (e) harass, bully, or abuse other users, including students, teachers, or staff; (f) misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any institution.

5. Data & Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the DPDP Act, 2023. ROLLNO31 acts as a Data Fiduciary under the Act for student, staff, and institution data; institutions may also act as Data Fiduciaries for data collected through the Service.

6. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service (assignments, posts, messages, projects). You grant ROLLNO31 a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. Institutional content (timetables, leaderboards, classroom records) remains the property of the institution.

7. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without prior notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraud, or pose a risk to other users. You may delete your account at any time via the account settings; account deletion triggers data erasure as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Service Availability and Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ROLLNO31 and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to registered users via the email address associated with the account at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
